Idaho is famous for its tough mountain folk and its tasty potatoes.
Idaho's name doesn't mean anything that anyone knows of. Although Idahi was a name given to the Comanche Indians by the Kiowa-Apaches, there is only speculation about its exact meaning. Two possibilities are "fish eaters" and "mountain gem."
